Frequently Asked Questions
We know visiting a new church can feel a little overwhelming, especially if you haven't been to church in a while or you're visiting for the first time. Our hope is to make your visit as comfortable and welcoming as possible. Below are answers to some of the questions we hear most often, so you'll know exactly what to expect before you arrive.
-
What time does the service begin?
-
Service begins at 10:30 am. Adult Sunday School is held in the sanctuary from 9:15 am - 10:15 am. When Sunday School is dismissed, the doors will open. If you come beforehand, no worries, there is seating in the front foyer.

-
What should I wear?
-
Come as you are! You will find people dressed in a variety of styles.
-
-
What is available for children?
-
There is nursery available for children ages 0-5, though children are not required to go there and are more than welcome to be in the church with you at any age. Our service is family integrated, children ages 6 and up stay with their parents to encourage worshipping together as a family unit. We do offer quiet children activities located in the back of the sanctuary.

-
Where do I park?
-
Parking is available along the street or in the church driveway. The church driveway is small and people park in a grid. If this is your first visit, we recommend street parking.

-
What is the worship style like?
-
We have a pianist that plays music through the service. Our first hymn sung together is usually a more modern hymn, sometimes using the sound system. The two other hymns we sing during service are traditional and sung with the piano. We do communion the first Sunday of the month and you do not need to partake. If you do not know what communion is, we encourage you to speak with Pastor to learn more about it.

What is Pastor's preaching style?
-
Pastor Micah teaches through expository preaching, walking through passages of Scripture and sharing historical context to help us better understand God's Word and how it applies to our lives today. He uses visual slides to help follow along and encourages note-taking. If you have questions or want to talk more about the message, he would love to connect with you after the service.
-
-
How long is the service?
-
Typically, service lasts an hour to an hour and fifteen minutes.
-
-
Do I have to be a member to attend?
-
Not at all.
-
-
Will I be asked to give money?
-
We have a time during service where we collect tithes. You are never obligated to give. We do give visitors a visitor card for you to fill out and ask that you put that in the plate.
-
-
Do you have refreshments?
-
On the second Sunday we always enjoy a fellowship dinner in the church basement (where our kitchen is located). If you did not bring a dish that's okay! We would still love to have you. There's always room at the table here.
