At First Baptist Church of Greater Rochester, we believe God has called us to be the salt of the earth and the light of the world (Matthew 5:13–16). Our mission is to faithfully follow Jesus Christ, stand firmly on the truth of Scripture, and share His love through the way we worship, serve, and care for one another.

Though we are a small church, we believe we are mighty in God's hands. We strive to serve our community to the best of our abilities, meeting needs, offering encouragement, and being a faithful presence in the greater Rochester area. We believe that every act of service, every prayer offered, and every kindness shown can be a reflection of Christ’s love.

We are a welcoming and close-knit church family where relationships matter. Many within our congregation have been part of this church for more than a decade, with some families having roots here for as many as nine decades. Over the years, this church has become more than a place to worship—it has become a family.

As a family, we walk through life together. We celebrate new faces joining us and eagerly welcome others into our fellowship. We also grieve when members move on, because each person who becomes part of our church family leaves a lasting impact.

Our desire is to continue building a community where people feel known, loved, and encouraged—a place where generations can worship together, grow in faith, and shine the light of Christ to those around us.
